Dave Despain’s popular weekly TV series “The Dave Despain Show” will return to the MAVTV network premiering on Sunday night July 12 at 8pm ET. The 30 minute format gives Dave the opportunity to sit with racing legends, current superstars and rising young guns while exploring their often volatile shifts in fortune, ranging from extreme highs to sometimes life threatening lows, in the pursuit of their goals.
(Programming note: Following the premier, each weekly episode will air 30 minutes later on Sundays at 8:30pm ET.)
Dave’s opening guest on Sunday night, July 12 is South African born motocross star Grant Langston. Langston began competing in the world championships in 1998, and by 2000, he had won the FIM 125cc World Championship as a member of the KTM factory racing team. In 2001 he moved to the United States to compete in the AMA national championships, winning the 2003 AMA 125cc outdoor title and the 2003 AMA Supermoto Unlimited Championship. He also won AMA 125 Supercross Championships in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, Langston captured the AMA 450cc outdoor national championship riding for Yamaha. Langston’s racing career was cut short due to a cancerous tumor and today he owns Langston Motorsports – a large multi-line motorcycle dealership in Southern California.
