PANASONIC & IMG INK 5-YR DEAL FOR SPORT 24:

IMG, a global leader in sports, fashion and media and Panasonic have signed a five year extension to their existing agreement. Sport 24 is exclusively available on Panasonic’s market-leading live television system, eXTV, which is broadcast via satellite to over 250 specially-equipped planes on ten airlines, showing live coverage of major sporting events including the NBA, Formula 1™, NFL, Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Grand Slam tennis and golf’s Majors.  http://ow.ly/SORjB

AIR ASIA SELECTS PANASONIC’S FlightLink®:

Panasonic’s industry-leading aircraft tracking and flight deck communications system was selected by Malaysian Low Cost Carrier, AirAsia. Additionally, Panasonic will be providing their new AirMap suite of products enabling Aeronautical Operation Control (AOC) fleet communications, management, and aircraft tracking.  FlightLink will be installed on 90 Airbus A320s to ensure the aircraft will be connected to the airline’s ground operations 24 hours a day.

PENINSULA AIRWAYS CHOSES FlightLink®:

PenAir, one of the largest regional airlines in Alaska selected Panasonic for 18 SAAB SF340 and three SAAB 2000 aircraft. With FlightLink, PenAir adds aircraft operation center (AOC) voice, data, aircraft positioning and tracking to its fleet of SAAB aircraft.

ROVI METADATA HELPS PAC MANAGE ENTERTAINMENT INVENTORY: Rovi announced a strategic collaboration to use its metadata to manage the programming guide for Panasonic’s global inflight television service, eXTV.

Panasonic selected Rovi because of the company’s extensive experience working with service providers and consumer electronics manufacturers in creating personalized entertainment discovery experiences. As entertainment catalogs continue to grow, Rovi metadata is the foundation that enables consumers to easily find and watch their favorite content.
