The Dillon Duo, Austin and Ty, Talk Racing and Family

Only on “The Dave Despain Show” Sunday, Oct. 25 at 8:30pm ET

Corona, CA (October 20, 2015) — The Dillon brothers, Austin and Ty, have spent a lot of time running around in circles — which is a good thing when you’re the grandkids of famed stock car team owner Richard Childress, founder of Richard Childress Racing (RCR). This Sunday night, October 25 at 8:30pm ET, Dave Despain sits down with the Dillon boys to talk about the weight of driving the famed No. 3, sibling rivalry, silencing trash talk and who’s the best hunter, all during “The Dave Despain Show” and only on MAVTV.

The sons of former NASCAR driver Mike Dillon, both Austin and Ty have moved up the racing ranks to pilot stock cars at the highest level, NASCAR’s Sprint Cup. Austin, the older brother by two years, began making a name for himself in 2008 when he earned the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Rookie of the Year award, and followed it up in 2010 by becoming the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year before being crowned the 2011 Truck Series champion. The next two years, Austin ran the entire NASCAR XFINITY Series schedule — and claimed the 2013 championship before moving up to NASCAR’s Sprint Cup to compete in a full season.

“The thing I want to do now is deliver some wins. The competition level is high every weekend.”Austin Dillon.

Ty has followed his brother’s lead into the upper levels of NASCAR competition, knowing that he and his brother are very competitive. “We always push each other to better ourselves, and I think that’s what made us so much better in our careers.” Ty Dillon.

After driving the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in 2009 and 2010, Ty put the racing world on notice in 2011 by winning the ARCA Racing Series championship, while also competing part time in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series. In 2012, he echoed his brother’s previous effort by earning Rookie of the Year honors for the Camping World Truck Series. And while running a full season for 2014 in NASCAR’s XFINITY Series, Ty also made his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut. And for good measure in 2014, Ty competed on the twisty Road America circuit and finished fourth in the SCCA Pro Racing sanctioned Trans Am Series.

Victory pizza parties to on-track aggression, watch “The Dave Despain Show” at 8:30pm ET on Sunday, Oct. 25 for an insiders glimpse into the lives of the Dillon duo – only on MAVTV.
