PBS AFFILIATE SELECTS DIGITAL NIRVANA FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE MONITORING AND RECORDING

OF THREE TV AND ONE RADIO STATION

Wayne, N.J., March 28, 2016 – While taking care of its recording and monitoring needs now, PBS affiliate KRWG-TV, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is also planning for the future with its recent purchase of Digital Nirvana’s MonitorIQ media management platform.

KRWG, owned by and operated by New Mexico State University, is multiplexed into KRWG-HD (channel 22.1; main programming/PBS HD), KRWG-SD (channel 22.2; MHz Worldview), and KRWG-V (22.3; V-me Spanish programming). KRWG-FM is its sister radio station.

MonitorIQ will monitor and record all three TV channels through its ASI input and the radio programming via a direct FM input. The system has been pre-configured for additional storage it will require when upgrades are implemented. This upgrade will include an ATSC (RF input) module to monitor the off-air channels of KRWG, plus three HDMI inputs to monitor channels from the local cable TV service, Dish and DirecTV satellite services.

“This is a very progressive and dynamic use of our MonitorIQ media management technology,” said Hiren Hindocha, CEO of Digital Nirvana. “We’re thrilled that after extensive research, KRWG selected us as an integral part of its current and future recording and monitoring set up. We look forward to a long and highly successful relationship with KRWG.”

The latest version of Digital Nirvana’s Media Management Platform, MonitorIQ 5.0, provides a complete set up to capture content from multiple sources and publish it to digital platforms –while monitoring the video and audio for quality and compliance.

It features a powerful content retrieval system called SmartSearch, and operates -with Centralized Management Software – which unites all units deployed throughout the system to one central point. The Centralized Management application empowers users for simultaneous access to multiple channels of content from any geographic area at any time. The Digital Nirvana platform delivers a full range of multi-channel signal monitoring, logging, compliance and archiving functions, is fully customizable, and features a user-friendly interface.

Digital Nirvana will show the latest version of MonitorIQ and its entire product range next month at the NAB 2016 (Booth #SU10410) convention running from April 16-21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
