“The 2017 Miss America Competition” To Broadcast Live
From Historic Boardwalk Hall In Atlantic City

Atlantic City, NJ (March 24, 2016) – The Miss America Organization, dick clark productions, and ABC announced today that the 96th Miss America Competition will return to Atlantic City’s historic Boardwalk Hall on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2016 (9:00 – 11:00 p.m./ET) on the ABC Television Network.  The evening will be filled with glitz and glam when 52 women representing their home states and territories compete to bring home the crown. All the contestants boast serious smarts and substantial talents, which will result in an intense competition for the coveted Miss America title. After a tough competition between the states and territories, there will only be one left standing when the evening concludes.

“The 2017 Miss America Competition” follows three days of Preliminary Competitions and a variety of Miss America events held on and around the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk including the annual “Steel Pier Miracle Mile Walk” featuring all 52 contestants on a charity walk to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals on Friday, September 9, and the highly-anticipated “Show Us Your Shoes” Parade held on Saturday, September 10.
dick clark productions and the Miss America Organization will collaborate on all creative, marketing, sponsorship, licensing, ticketing and distribution elements of this year’s show. Tony Eaton and Tall Pony Productions will produce “The 2017 Miss America Competition.”
