BRUCE CAMPBELL PITCHES BRUCE CAMPBELL FOR AN EMMY® IN OUTSTANDING LEAD COMEDY ACTOR

“HE DOESN’T SUCK” AMONG CAMPAIGN PROMISES

The Second Season of “Ash vs Evil Dead” Returns this Fall

Beverly Hills, Calif. – June 9, 2016 STARZ released new EMMY® campaign videos today for its Original series “Ash vs Evil Dead.” The campaign features Bruce Campbell in an homage to his alter ego, Ash Williams, inviting voters to “make a terrible but fun decision” and to “make the Emmys® groovy” by voting for him as Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Some of his compelling campaign slogans include “Vote for Bruce Campbell, He Doesn’t Suck,” “Vote for Bruce Campbell, I Have a Chainsaw Hand,” and “Vote for Bruce Campbell, Because I F*cking Said So!’

The drive for a nomination is being supported by Ash4Emmy billboards in Hollywood as well as a mailer of campaign materials to guilds and awards press.

“Ash vs Evil Dead,” is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film The Evil Dead. The series is executive produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell, the original filmmakers, and Craig DiGregorio who serves as executive producer and showrunner.

Campbell reprised his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.  When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.
