CITY OF NEWARK MAYOR RAS J. BARAKA TO BRING TOGETHER PROGRESSIVE MINDS FOR ‘POWER, POLITICS & COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT SUMMIT’ JUNE 10-11

(NEWARK, NJ) – JUNE 8, 2016 – Various political leaders, activists, educators and media are gathering this weekend to plan solutions to a number of socioeconomic problems at Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka‘s inaugural “Power, Politics & Community Reinvestment Summit” in Newark, NJ.

The closed-door meeting is taking place June 10-11 and will cover topics such as educational reform, closing the wealth gap, mass incarceration, unifying different communities, poverty, Black Lives Matter and the arts.
