Nicecactus establishes joint venture to expand into GCC region

Gaming tournament and training platform Nicecactus has joined forces with Sheikh Suhail Bin Butti Al Maktoum and Faris Ahmad Ramadhan Juma to expand its activities in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region.

As a result, a Dubai-based joint venture has been established, aiming to develop and market Nicecactus’s platform exclusively in the GCC countries.

Al Maktoum is the Chairman of Royal Emirates Group, moreover, Juma is the Vice-Chairman of ARJ Holding.

Mike Hessabi, President of Nicecactus SAS, spoke on the announcement in a release: “We are honoured to have His Highness Sheikh Suhail Bin Butti Al Maktoum and Faris Ahmad Ramadhan Juma as shareholders and equity partners in the joint venture company we have created for the region.

“We are also very proud to see them select Nicecactus as their company of choice to drive competitive gaming in the region. We aim to provide the very best experience for the video gamer community as well as empower brands in the region to authentically resonate with the new generation.”

According to the release, forming the joint venture was a key strategic move for Nicecactus as the firm aims to ‘pave the way for a solid foundation in the GCC region for Nicecactus and its partners’. The joint venture will cover both the Nicecactus gamer platform and Nicecactus gaming services.

Al Maktoum, commented: “After considering several options, we were convinced that Nicecactus is the right partner to provide a compelling set of services for the gaming community in the region. We are eagerly going to drive ahead with our Joint Venture in the region.”

The joint venture company will be formed in the DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) free-zone. Moreover, the new company has already sealed a partnership with the DMCC regarding hosting tournaments and competitive gaming events.

Juma said: “We are very pleased with the creation of our joint venture company. We have already been working for several weeks with Nicecactus’ teams, planning and preparing both activities for the video game player communities, as well as targeted initiatives to help brands inclusively engage with and support these communities.”

Esports Insider says: With the support of such influential figures, Nicecactus shouldn’t have a problem with expanding into the GCC region. Moreover, its experiences within the gaming community should be helpful with driving competitive gaming in the region.
