The 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, an outrageous musical extravaganza watched by millions each year, will be held in Liverpool.
The next contest will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on the banks of the River Mersey. The home of the Beatles and two Premiere League clubs (Liverpool and Everton), it’ll be the first UK city to host the contest in 25 years.
Typically, the latest winner hosts the following year’s competition, but the 2022 competition was won by Ukrainian entry Kalush Orchestra, with its song Stefania. The Russian invasion of Ukraine meant the event had to be shifted to the second-placed UK, but Kalush Orchestra will perform at the 2023 contest.
